The features of the EOS R include a 30.3 megapixel CMOS sensor, Dual Pixel AF with 5655 selectable AF points, 45UHD video at up to 29.97fps, and a reasonable battery life of 450 shots using Power Saving mode. The EOS R has good low light performance with an ability to function at light levels as low as -6EV. Several controls and menu functions can be customized to your specific shooting style.

Overall David found that the autofocus wasn't exactly as fast as his Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, but the photos are still super sharp and colorful. Image review in the electronic viewfinder (EVF) takes some getting used to but can be incredibly useful, especially in bright daylight conditions.
